Who, or what, you may ask is a Crusty? Well this Crusty dawg is a transplant from New York City who moved here a few years ago to escape the insanity of The Big Apple. Well, I did escape the insanity THERE but I have found there is lots of insanity here in Philly as well. Or maybe its just me that’s insane and I’ll never escape it? No matter, I am fitting right in here in the Northeast of Philadelphia where the drivers don’t know what a stop sign is unless there’s a police car behind them then they are good as gold, and where you can buy beer for $2 a pint! Yeah, sometimes even $1 a pint during Happy Hour. Now I understand why its called Happy Hour, hell you’d be happy too if you downed a bunch of those $1 beers..hehehehe.

I live in a mixed neigborhood here in the Northeast and like it that way. I’ve always lived in places where I could walk down a street to the local grocery and hear people talking in a dozen different languages. Makes life more interesting I think. Like everyone else I have my pet peeves and things that piss me off, No doubt I will be writing about those. But there are a lot of things about Philly I really enjoy and I will be writing about those too.

So, thats me. A lot like you I guess, a bit crusty around the edges but with my heart in the right place and trying to live life as best that I can.
